Using an electroencephalogram (EEG), electrodes are attached to the scalp to measure brainwaves. Heart function, breathing, muscle activity, and skin temperature are also recorded. This brainwave activity is then analyzed and changes in thinking, emotions and behavior are used to support changes. Eventually, the individual trains their brain to respond without the use of external instruments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"tkgyxz44ddvou8s4e\">Neurofeedback is most commonly used in ADHD, autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, \u00a0stroke, and traumatic brain injury.
