Malnutrition is a condition where the body does not receive enough of the nutrients that it requires to properly function, whether too much or too little. This can result from inadequate or unbalanced diet, problems with digestion or absorption, or certain medical conditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Malnutrition can lead to decreased physical and mental development in childhood and is the largest contributor to disease. Depending on what is under or over abundant in the diet, different nutrition disorders can arise, ranging from starvation to obesity.\u00a0<\/p>\n
